Mr. James Clark Tanner, Sr., 83 of Covington, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, May 18, 2019. Mr. Tanner was a plant planner at DuPont and a member of the First Baptist Church in Covington.
Mr. Tanner is survived by his wife, Mrs. Martha Faye Baskin Tanner of Covington; his daughter, Donna Tanner Farmer (Charles) of Covington; his son, James Clark "Butch" Tanner, Jr. (Carole) of Hong Kong; his sister, Joyce Annette Tanner Starnes (Daryl); his five grandchildren, Walter Collin Pinner (Brette), Audrey Anna Pinner, Jessica Lynn Pinner Ulbricht (Walt "Tex"), Jill Marie Tanner, and Kay Lynn Tanner; and by his two great-grandchildren, Maxwell Clark Pinner and Walter Ernest "Walt" Ulbricht; and by his two caregivers, Sharon Moore and Angela "Pinkie" Stewart. Mr. Tanner was preceded in death by his 10 siblings and by his parents, James Walter and Clara Allie Tanner.
The services for Mr. Tanner will be held on Wednesday, May 22, at 11 AM at the First Baptist Church in Covington. Visitation will take place Tuesday night from 5-7 at the Church. Interment will follow in Covington Memorial Gardens.
