Jere H. Hadley

August 16, 1941 ~ November 4, 2018 (age 77)

Mr. Jere H. Hadley, 77 of Covington, passed away on the evening of November 4, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. Mr. Hadley graduated from Byars Hall High School and then from The University of Tennessee-Martin, was a member of the First Baptist Church in Covington, and was retired from working for the CIty of Covington where he was the Recorder/Treasurer and an alderman.

Mr. Hadley is survived by his wife, Rosemary McDivitt Hadley of Covington; his son, Daniel Todd Hadley (Lisa) of Covington; his daughter, Susan Hadley Mason (Ken) of Covington; his four brothers, David Stanley Hadley, Jr. of Covington, Dan Kimble Hadley of Humboldt, William O. "Bill" Hadley of Pflugerville, TX, and Jack Lynn Hadley of Jackson, TN; and his sister, Elise McDivitt of Owensboro, KY; four grandchildren, Lee Hadley (Lauren) of Covington, K.C. Mason II (Tara) of Watrace, TN, PO1C Tanner Mason, USN of Covington, TN, and Hadley Jered Mason of Covington; and by his five great-grandchildren, Michael, Daniel, Noah, Keylee, and Kyley. Mr. Hadley was preceded in death by his sister, Martha Jo Shelley and by his parents, David Stanley and Burl Geraldine Kimble Hadley, Sr. 

There will be a memorial service for Mr. Hadley on Tuesday, November 6th, at 3 PM at the Maley-Yarbrough Chapel. Visitation will take place from 1-3 prior to the services beginning.  

The family has requested that memorials be sent to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, 2105 Hwy 59 S. Covington, TN 38019, the Tipton County Veterans Museum, 751 Bert Johnston Avenue Covington, TN 38019, and the Cancer Society - Helping Hands.
