Mrs. Vivian Eloise Campbell Bell, age 93, passed away on Thursday afternoon, May 31, 2018 at her home near Brighton, TN. Widow of Mr. Neil L. Bell, Jr., she was both a graduate (1943) and a teacher at Brighton High School. After her early years in Memphis the family moved to Tipton County to the home of her adored step-father, Everett McQuiston. She and Neil married in 1943: he served in the Army and she served as a civilian at the Pentagon during World War II. With a Bachelor's Degree from Peabody and a Master's from the University of Memphis she was a teacher of high school, Sunday School, and children's musicals. She was the organist at Brighton Baptist Church for many years and she taught piano lessons until 2016. She leaves her sons, Steve E. Bell of Memphis and Neil L. Bell, III (Margaret) of Brighton; grandsons, Paul A. Bell, Kevin R. Bell (Christine), and William L. Bell; great-grandson Andrew H. Bell; many nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Winnie Loraine Wolf Campbell and Reba Adam Campbell; her step-father, Everett McQuiston; and her siblings, Agnes C. Jackson, Jack Campbell, Margaret C. Gordon, and Reba Campbell.
Services for Mrs. Bell will be held on Tuesday, June 5th, at 4PM at the Maley-Yarbrough Chapel. Visitation will be held the night before from 5-8PM. Interment will be held in Morrison Cemetery with Pastor Teddy Overton officiating. In lieu of flowers the family has asked for memorials to be sent to VFW Post 4840 1286 Munford Ave Munford, TN 38058.
