Jimmy Russell Locke

Jimmy Russell Locke, age 79 passed away Sunday, February 5, 2023 in the Methodist North Hospital in Germantown, TN. His graveside funeral service will be conducted Thursday, February 9, 2023 at 10 AM in the Covington Memorial Gardens. Jimmy was born and raised in Covington, TN and graduated from Byars-Hall High School in Covington. Jimmy enjoyed Memphis Wrestling and watching boxing on TV, where he got a laugh when Mohammad Ali would say, “he was the greatest of all”. He worked for Owens-Illinois in Memphis, where he later retired. Jimmy served his country in the Army National Guard. A lifelong member of Bellevue Baptist Church where he made many friends to socialize with. He is survived by his children: Jill Elizabeth Locke, Carol Ann Goodwin and Jeffrey Alan Locke, two grandchildren: Candy Lee Locke, Jaxon Locke, a great-grandchild, Caitlin McConnell and a brother, Stanley Ray Locke. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Jim Locke, Jr., John William Locke and Lloyd Wayne Locke.Read Obituary
