Michael Stephen Anderson

Obituary Michael Stephen Anderson, 47, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 4, 2023.  He was a graduate of Covington High School, where he was involved with several sports and a dedicated member of the band.  Michael was an accomplished bowler, who won many awards and averaged bowling three or four times a week for many years.  He loved sports and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, the Tennessee Vols, the St. Louis Cardinals and the Memphis Tigers.Michael was employed as a Specialist at SafeWays Inc. Memphis, who admired his work ethics, humor, and friendship.He is survived by his mother, Mary Frances Shelley Anderson of Covington and his cousins, Kevin and Greg (Mary) Johnson.  He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Stephen “Steve” Anderson; grandparents, William and Martha Jo Hadley Shelley and James R. and Christine Stevens Anderson; uncle and aunt, Richard and Kay Shelley Johnson.The services will be held at Maley-Yarbrough Chapel on Monday, January 9, 2023 at 1 pm.  Visitation will take place from 11 am to 1 pm prior to the services.  The committal service will follow in the R.H. Munford Cemetery with Pastor Randall Duda conducting the services.To honor Michael, any donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
