Obituary Ronald “Steve” Glass, age 70, passed away on January 13, 2023.  Steve was an honest and passionate man; he knew what he wanted.  He was hardworking, loved to hunt, and was a Tennessee Vols fan to the core.  The word determined was meant for him.  Steve spent career in the construction business, where he retired as the Vice President of M.P.C.Although Steve was a homebody, the great outdoors was his second home.  His grandkids were the sparkle in his eyes.  He enjoyed taking them hunting, even if those hunting adventures ended with them falling asleep in the stand or the blind.  He had even nicknamed Peyton “deer stand Adele” due to her singing in the stand.  If you were following him to the deer stand or blind, you were guaranteed to be picking up candy wrappers because he loved to share Snickers with the kids.  He was a member of Garland Faith Community Church.Family meant the world to Steve.  To say that his family will miss him is an understatement.  To know Steve was to love Steve.  He may not have been a man of many words, but the words that he spoke were significant.Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Carroll & Lois Glass, two brothers; Benny Glass & Ted Glass, and one granddaughter Lillie Mae Glass.  He survived by 7 siblings, his longtime partner, Helen Wallace, of 31 years, his two children; Brad Glass (Jessica) and Debbie Glass Wallace (Glenn, one stepson; Joseph Wallace (Jessica), five grandchildren; Ashley Sanders (Ahmad), Gavin Wallace, Peyton Wallace, Ryleigh Wallace, & Raegan Wallace, and one great-grandchild; Remi Lynn Sanders. We ask that you continue to keep the family in your thoughts and prayers during the coming days. There will be a visitation service held at Maley-Yarbrough Funeral Home on Sunday, January 15, 2023 from 5:00pm-7:00pm.  The service will be on Monday, January 16, 2023 at 11:00am at Maley Yarbrough Funeral Home, with the interment to take place at Covington Memorial Gardens. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Ronald "Steve" Glass, please visit our floral store.Read More
