Obituary Vonda Joyce Stankey, 77, of Drummonds, TN passed away on December 26, 2022. She was born in Paragould, Arkansas to the late Edith and James Grooms. Vonda loved the Lord and her family. She was known for being creative and enjoyed painting and writing in her free time. She worked numerous jobs over her career, she was a school teacher and the president of the Ruffin Theater at one point.She is survived by her husband, Ernest Albert Stankey, her sons; Ernest Albert Stankey Jr. (Dawn), Samuel Stankey (Michelle) and her grandsons; Christopher and Caleb Stankey.A Funeral service will be Friday, December 30th at Maley – Yarbrough Funeral Home at 10:00am . The visitation will be held from 9:00am to 10:00am. Vonda was such a beautiful soul. During the time she and I were at the Ruffin, she amazed me with her artful talents and her peace keeper skills. She was so creative and loving. I always knew she would listen and do the right thing. She loved Jesus, children and the arts. What a beautiful soul.
