Obituary

Richard Alan Ashford, 74, passed away May 22, 2020, at his home in Atoka.  Mr. Ashford was a member of St. William Catholic Church in Millington and a retired butcher at his family meat market.  The husband of Esther Ashford, he also leaves his daughters, Monica (John, Jr.) Wilkins of Drummonds and Leslie (Joe) Bennett of Leland, MS; son Joel Ashford of Dallas, TX; sisters Linda Ashford (Tom Grooms) of Nashville and Mary Palmer Gagliano of Hollister, MO; brother Tucker (Cindy) Ashford of Covington; grandchildren Chris Lott, Will Ashford, Hadley Wilkins, Cole Wilkins, Brett Wilkins, and Jaime Ashford; and great-grandchildren Ella Kate Ashford, Ayden Ashford, and Khloe Ashford.  He was preceded in death by his parents Palmer and Lois Patricia Walters Ashford; and brothers Michael Ashford and Johnny Ashford.

Services for Mr. Ashford will be 3PM Tuesday, May 26th, at St. William Catholic Church in Millington. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 3:00 prior to the services beginning.
