Bernice Marlon Bolding, 98, passed away at his home in Brighton, August 13, 2021.
He was born in Maury City, TN, the 29 of November 1922, the son of the late Solomon Connie Bolding and Opal (Chronister) Bolding Brewer.
He leaves behind five grandchildren: Sharon Timbs, of Brighton, TN, Beth Taylor (Curtis), of Coldwater, MS, Lydia Smith (Rick) of Cookeville, TN, Micah Timbs, of Munford TN, and Rebekah Davis (Bishop) of Atoka, TN and two great-grandchildren Wyatt Austin Taylor, and Raelynn Jean Davis. He also leaves behind one son Barry Bolding of Brighton, TN.
He is proceeded in death by his beloved wife, Marjorie Austin Bolding; his daughter Barbara Timbs; one grandson; Samuel Timbs; and his grandparents who raised him, Will and Tennessee Chronister.
A veteran of WWII, He served in the China Burma India Theater, where he spent most of his time in Burma. He retired from International Harvester in Memphis, was a member of Brighton Baptist Church and a 70 year member of the Frayser Lodge #746 of Free and Accepted Masons.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, the 17th of August at Maury City Cemetery in Maury City, TN. at 11:00 AM. Maley-Yarbrough Funeral Home will be in charge of the services.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Tennessee Baptist Children’s Home, or the West Tennessee Veterans Home.
