Doris Jobe Channell, 83, retired Charms employee, passed away Thursday, August 13, at her residence. She was a member of Central Christian Church in Covington. The widow of Arnold Ray Channell, she leaves her daughter, Karen (Doug) Hayes of Brighton; son David (Patty) Channell of Covington; sisters Mildred Blankenship of Covington and Elizabeth Roberts of Chandler, AZ; brother Morris Jobe of Covington; grandchildren Amanda (Gary) Ervin of Covington and Wesley Channell of Memphis; and great-grandchildren Gavin Ervin and Arlee Ervin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert O. and Maggie Scott Jobe; and siblings Ruby Kitchens, Emmory Jobe, and Emmitt Jobe.
The family will receive friends Sunday, August 16, from 1PM until services at 3PM, all at Maley-Yarbrough Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Covington Memorial Gardens.
