Mrs. Doris Brigman Marbry, 93, member of Central Christian Church in Covington, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at her residence. She was a retired nurse who worked at Haywood Park Hospital in Brownsville. Mrs. Marbry was born in Covington May 3, 1927, to the late John Washington and Amy Pruitt Brigman. The widow of Virgle Marbry, she leaves her daughters Patricia Ann (Wayne) Marbry Qualls and Kathey Marie (Dave) Marbry Dumas, both of Stanton; sons Larry Gene (Brenda) Marbry, Sr of Arlington, Gary Lee Marbry, Sr., Rickey Lynn Marbry, and Roger Stephen (Mitzi) Marbry, all of Stanton; ten grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and brothers-in-law W. C. Marbry and Larry Morris. She was also preceded in death by siblings Alma, Annie May, Clara, Margaret, Jo Ann, Rosie, L. D., Willie, and John, Jr.; granddaughter April Marbry; and daughters-in-law Joyce Marbry and Nona Taylor.
Visitation for Mrs. Marbry will be 5-8PM Thursday, February 25, with funeral services officiated by Bro. Grover Westover 3PM Friday, February 26, all at Maley-Yarbrough Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Covington Memorial Gardens.
