Mrs. Emily Jean Carver Howard, 75 of Stanton, passed away on the morning of February 2, 2020. Mrs. Howard was a retired cafeteria worker for Covington High School.
Mrs. Howard is survived by her children, Mitch Carver (Amy) of Brighton, Tina Carver of Stanton, and Tricia Bylue Wilkins of Stanton; her sisters, Georgia Carver (Bob) of Stanton, Lou Henderson (David) of Saltillo, MS, and Janie Hall (Eddie) of Stanton; her sister-in-law, Marilyn Howard of Brownsville; her eight grandchildren, Dawson Carver, Jake Carver, Taylor B Rhoads, Emily P. Jernigan Rhoads, Ricky Cordell Mayfield, Michael C. Wilkins, Kalyn A. Wilkins, and Dilan C. Wilkins; her seven great-grandchildren, Gavin Lavell Jackson, Asia Nichole Jackson, Nakia Faith Jean Jackson, Blanton Lane Kellum, Emma Marie Kellum, Ivy Whitney Wilkins, and Violet Grace Wilkins; a very special friend, Peggy Ruffin; and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Howard was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Victor and Lora Ophelia Howard; her brothers, William Howard, Ben Howard, and Jerry Martin; and by her sister, Kathryn Goodenough.
Services for Mrs. Howard will be held on Wednesday February 5, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Maley-Yarbrough Chapel. Visitation will take place from 12:00 - 2:00 prior to the services. Interment will follow in Charleston Cemetery.
