Obituary

Mrs. Joyce Nadine Johnson Taylor, 87, passed away Friday, February 25, 2022, in Chattanooga.  Mrs. Taylor was a life-long member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and a former relief operator at Charms.  She leaves her daughters Patricia Taylor (Lee) Lester of Brighton and Catherine Taylor (John) Phillips of Chattanooga; daughter-in-law Debbie Taylor of Covington; sisters Zadie Ferrell and Maxine Cranford; brother Richard (Carolyn) Johnson; grandchildren Adrian E. (Eric Gillespie) Lester, Allison L. (Craig) Cameron, Rebecca L. (Brian) Ping, John Michael (Bethany) Phillips, David Taylor Phillips, Steven Daniel (Kerri Dale) Taylor, Harley Hunter (Jamie) Taylor, Jason (Magda) White, and Faith Owens; twenty-six great grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Herbert Earl Taylor; son Steven Taylor; grandsons Joe Phillips and Josh White; parents Alvis and Edna Shires Johnson; and siblings Wilma Goode, Lavelle Byrd, Evie Corder, Thomas Johnson and Jimmy Johnson.

Visitation for Mrs. Taylor will be Tuesday, March 1, from 1PM until funeral services officiated by Rev. Gary Stafford at 3PM, all at Maley-Yarbrough Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in Walton Cemetery.
