Mr. Luther Carwell Tierce, 85, member of Hope Community Church and retired tile setter, passed away December 25, 2021, in Covington. Husband of 62 years to Delores Boswell Tierce, he also leaves his sister, Mary Tierce; sister-in-law Carolyn Tierce; cousin Anne (Richard) Denniston of Arlington; and extended family David (Nikki) Hennessy, Glenda Williams Gastineau, Jay Gastineau, Kym B. Borders, and Bryan B. Borders, III. He waas preceded in death by his parents, Harvey Carwell (Bill) and Maude Matthews Tierce; brothers Edward Tierce, Harvey Tierce, and Wesley Eugene (Shorty) Tierce; and sister Lillian Blanch Tierce.
Funeral services for Mr. Tierce will be 1PM Monday, January 3, 2022, at Maley-Yarbrough Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Committal services will be 2PM Wednesday, January 5, at Memorial Park, Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN. The family asks that any memorials be made to Hope Community Church.
