Mack Edward Easley, 83, of Smyrna, TN passed away peacefully on August 30, 2020. A native of Covington, TN, he was the son of the late Ella Sue Easley and Edward Durrell Easley. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Lanna Ann Easley.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Georgeanne Ellis Easley; three children: Philip Jeffrey Easley (Shannon), Elizabeth Hope Harper and Evelyn Dana Perry (Donnie); six grandchildren: Brent Easley (Rachel), April Moseley (Josh), Harrison Gill (Kelly), Sara Perry, Meredith Easley and Jesse Perry; and five great-grandchildren.
Mack was a 1955 graduate of Byars-Hall High School in Covington, TN.He graduated from Memphis State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration (1967) and Master of Education degree (1971).
He retired from corporate management with Bridgestone-Firestone.
Mack was active in forming the Byars-Hall Alumni Group and Newsletter. He has been a member of the Covington Jaycees in the late 1950’s and early 1960’s. He held several club offices and served as the editor of the state organization’s “Tennessee Jaycee Newspaper” in 1962.
Mack was an avid golfer, enjoyed family meals, spending time with his grandchildren and greatgrandchildren, and country music.
Due to COVID-19 guidelines and these unprecedented times, a private graveside service will be held at Helen Crigger Cemetery in Munford, TN on Tuesday, September 1st.
