Obituary

Mazie Whitson Smith, 94, passed away January 22, 2022, at her home. She was a member of Covington First Baptist Church and former employee of Union Savings Bank. The widow of Peyton E. Smith, she leaves her sons Jonathan (Felicia) Smith and Enoch (Phyllis) Smith, both of Covington; grandchildren Scott Smith, Stacey Clements, Kylie Payne, and Henry Fischl; great-grandchildren Jacob Clements, Garet Clements, Justin Smith, and Nikki Golden; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her brother Darrell Whitson.

Funeral services officiated by Rev. Chuck Williams will be 2PM Tuesday, January 25, at Maley-Yarbrough Funeral Home. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Interment will follow in R. H. Munford Cemetery, Covington, TN.
