Larry Douglas, 95, retired grocer, passed away on the morning of Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at the Lauderdale Community Hospital. Daddy loved his God, his family, his church family, and his community, having served as a county commissioner. He proudly served his country in the Army Air Corps during WWII, and Veteran's Day and Veterans programs were very special to him. We are happy to know he and Mother are together again. He was honored to be a deacon at First Baptist Church and he gave his whole heart into that as he did everything. He loved us and we loved him and we never doubted that one minute. The widower of Inez Ingram Douglas, he leaves his daughter Linda Carol Ammons of Ripley; sons Richard Wayne (Gail) Douglas and Gary Alan (Belinda) Douglas, both of Ripley; brothers Richard Douglas and James G. Douglas, both of Ripley; grandchildren Allison Douglas Garner, Alan Douglas, Bill McWherter, Julie Burton, Matt McWherter, Jacob Douglas, and Seth Douglas; and great-grandchildren Franklin, Lillie, Allie, Tate, Cole, Logan, Brooke, Addie, Molly and Carson. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Ann Douglas; and siblings Annie Laura Jennings, William Dan "BB" Douglas, and Charles Lynn Douglas.
