Morris Ray Jobe, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at his residence at the age of 85. He was born on January 25, 1937 in Covington, TN to the late Robert and Maggie Jobe. He was the president of his senior class (Class 1955) at Byars Hall High School. Morris served in the Army and National Guard before he started his career as dedicated farmer. He earned the award for “Outstanding Young Farmer” from the Covington Jaycees. In his free time, Morris loved to be around and training horses. He was a active in the Covington Saddle Club.
He is preceded in death by his son, Brad Jobe and his siblings; Emmet Jobe, Emory Jobe, Elizabeth J. Roberts, Ruby J. Kitchens, Doris J. Channell and Mildred Blankenship and his best friend, Jack Jennings.
Morris is survived his sons; Scott Jobe of Franklin, TN and Miller Jobe of Memphis, TN, and his grandchildren; Hallie, Jack, Jessica and Bradford.
A visitation will be held at Maley-Yarbrough Funeral Home on Friday, November 4th from 12:00pm to 1:45pm with a graveside service to follow at Covington Memorial Gardens at 2:00pm.
