Obituary

Mrs. Retha Mae Franks, 96, homemaker, passed away December 21, 2021, in Jackson.  The widow of Roy Franks, Sr., she is survived by her daughters Peggy Ann Knight of Bethel Springs and Betty Jane Guy of Ida, LA; sons Bobby Wayne (Judy Ann) Franks of Bartlett and Ronald Gene Franks of Bethel Springs; brother John Edward Wright of Bethel Springs; nineteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents Richard F. and Ella Sue Newman Wright; daughters Shirley Diane Bivens and Judy Lynn Butler; sons Roy Franks, Jr. and Barry Franks; and siblings Dora Lovett, and  Richard, Gene, Robert, and Paul Everett Wright.

Visitation for Mrs. Franks will be Thursday, December 23, from 1PM until services at 3PM, all at Maley-Yarbrough Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in R. H. Munford Cemetery in Covington.
