Mr. Landon moved the funeral home from its original location off of the Covington square to its current location on Highway 51 in 1976. He was able to see the trend of the County moving this direction years before others could. Sadly, Landon passed away in 2014, leaving ownership of the funeral home to his wife, Martha Moss Yarbrough.

Mrs. Martha, the wife of Landon Yarbrough, has been heavily active in all elements of the funeral home for many many  years. Sadly, she passed away in 2016 and leaves the ownership of the funeral home to her two sons, Charles E. Moss, Jr. and Leonard Houston Moss.

Charles E. Moss, Jr. is the son of Mrs. Martha Yarbrough, the co-owner of the Funeral Home. Charlie grew up here in Covington where he was a star-athlete for Covington High School. He obtained a football scholarship to the University of Mississippi. After playing football he decided to attend Northwest University to obtain his funeral directing and embalmers license. He is currently the manager of the funeral home, as well as a licensed mortician and pre-need insurance agent. He is married to Becky Moss. 


Today Charlie is a co-owner of the funeral home with his younger brother, Leonard.

Houston Moss

Clinton Houston Moss, the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Yarbrough, is currently a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer for the funeral home. Houston grew up in Covington, going to Covington High School and then to the University of Tennessee. He finished school in 2012 at Northwest Community College where he obtained his degree in Funeral Service Technology. 

Houston is currently married to Ginny Moss, a teacher at Crestview Middle School. They just had their first baby, Landon Houston Moss, and look forward to raising him in Covington. 

Houston is heavily involved in the community serving the Covington Lions Club, the Tipton County Chamber of Commerce Executive Board, the Park and Recs Citizens Advisory Committee, and helping the Mens Prayer Breakfast and the youth at the First United Methodist Church. 

If Houston isn't in the office you can usually see him running or riding his bike around Tipton County.

Brenda C. Moss, the wife of Leonard Moss, is the daughter-in-law to Mr. and Mrs. Yarbrough. After marrying their son, she started working at the funeral home. Over the years she has performed almost every job imaginable at the firm. She is currently the secretary for the funeral home, as well as a licensed pre-need agent. Mrs. Moss has three children, Charley Morgan Moss, Clinton Housotn Moss, and Allie Carol Moss, all who grew up here in Tipton County. Brenda also just welcomed her first grandchildren into the world, Anna Charles Rivers and Landon Houston Moss.
